Midweek Move

Who wrote the book of James, when was it written, and who was it for? This introduction to the book of James starts our new verse-by-verse Bible study series.

Before we read the first verse, we'll spend this episode on the background: which James wrote the letter, where it fits in the early church timeline, and what was happening to the believers who first received it. If we don't know a verse's context, we can be conned by it, so we start here.

Paul saw disaster coming before anyone else did, and nobody listened. Then the storm hit. This week we're walking through Acts 27, one of the wildest chapters in the book, and talking about what it actually looks like to lead people well when they didn't take your advice and now things have gone sideways.
